Founder & CEO, PERLP
Pakistan Emergency Response Learning Program is my attempt to bring about the Pakistan of my childhood—a time when schooling taught compassion, leadership and the practical skills needed to become a model citizen.
I love my country, but over the years patience and tolerance have weakened while doubt, hatred, racism and extremism have grown. Young people should learn to understand diversity rather than discriminate against it. I am determined to help change this mindset through education.
PERLP is an effort intended to continue for generations. Through civil-defense knowledge, we teach young people life-changing lessons in unity, leadership, compassion and sincerity—qualities that help them assist strangers in times of need.
If we want a better Pakistan, we must educate children because they are our future. What they learn today will shape their actions, ethics and judgment throughout their lives.
PERLP welcomes everyone who believes in Hakeem Saeed’s motto, “Love Pakistan, Build Pakistan,” and wishes to contribute to the betterment of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
