The services provided by Pakistan Emergency Response Learning Program (PERLP) are training and awareness regarding self-safety.
Through awareness and training sessions PERLP attempts to educate the individuals of the Islamic republic of Pakistan on fire safety and rescue, first aid, road safety and disaster management. PERLP believes that it is with this basic knowledge that people of this nation can begin to help in healing this great country so it can rise to all its glory.
The awareness and training sessions are conducted with professionals from the particular field. PERLP is proud to have on its team experts from medical fields, emergency response services as well as civil defense services that believe in the cause to educate Pakistan so that it may prosper. These professionals donate their time to conduct sessions so that people may learn to save not only lives of those in need but to also pass this knowledge on safety and awareness to the coming generations in an attempt to enlighten and revolutionize the country.
Scope of Services
In the past the civil defense department of Pakistan was responsible for teaching lessons in civil defense to school children, these lessons enabled them to respond quickly in times of distress. Theses civic skills taught children how to help people in need and in time become model citizens of the country, however, due to various reasons this aspect of academic learning was discontinued.
Pakistan Emergency Response Learning Program (PERLP) believes that this knowledge should be given to the children. And the basic lessons on civil defense along with fire fighting and rescue, first aid, road safety and disaster management should once again become co-curricular because of the needs of this country.
PERLP is well aware of the situation of the country and the current inadequacy of the youth and majority in the civil defense department. The masses of Pakistan rite now are not educated or equipped with the knowledge in self or others safety and rescue despite the disasters and destruction happening in the county. PERLP hence believes that by training and giving awareness to the people, there would b a work force amongst the masses that would be able to cater to the needs of the victims before the professionals arrive. This is not only needed but because of the lack of professionalism it is a necessity that individuals should know how to be psychology ready for any mishap.
